My Oil Change light comes on when I start my car, it usually goes off after a couple of minutes but it is really annoying, I changed my oil about 500 miles ago, used mobil 1 trisynthetic, and a K&N oil filter. Is the light triggered by odometer, and must be reset after an oil change. I do my own oil changes, maybe if it was brought in for service they would reset it for me. Can anyone help me?

all you do it turn your key to the "on" position and hold the odometer reset button for about 10-15seconds.
