I have a 01 SS and the service vehicle light stays on. This is not the service engine soon light and I have been told it will take a combination of pumping the brake, gas pedles and turning the car on and off to turn the light off. All the dealerships services are closed for the weekend out here so they are no help. Does anyone know what needs to be done to turn this light off? Please help if you can. Thanks.

Try key on, engine off(not running), press throttle to the floor three times within five seconds. If its the service (oil change) light that should work.
