Default EFILiveV5 and Oil Pressure

Hi,
I am now up and running with EFI Live, still learning bits about it. What I noticed is my dash displays my oil pressure is around 50psi, but EFILive says I have a way negative figure of -15.4psi.
I have come to the conclusion the reading on the dash is from another sensor different to the one the ECU reads, is this true? It seems like the sensor isn't connected or something? Or does EFI Live not read this correctly? Do I need a software patch?

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

Thanks in advance.

The PCM in the F-Body does not support oil pressure. It will always read -15.4psi on the screen. However, the PCM on the vette does support oil pressure, go figure.

Minivette is correct.

Oil pressure is returned correctly by the PCM for Y-bodies and GM-H commodores (V-bodies?) but is not returned correctly for F-bodies.

It appears that the F-body PCM was mis-configured so that it tells the scan tool that oil pressure is a supported PID when in fact it is not.

Great, now i know. I'm getting the car serviced in a couple of days, only two places in England that will do it. I was going to ask them to fix it, thay may not of known it cant be fixed and spend hours on it and charge me for it.

Thanks all.
