Default Pinging @ WOT (what to do with predator?)

I have a predator and want to get the detanation gone with I always use 93octane mainly from Chevron. Anybody have any notes or step by step instructions to use the predator to fix this problem? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

What's your kr and timing when doing tests? I'm not getting kr at wot but my cars timing drops from the 30's to 25' at wot and keeeps going down to only 21' at 5500rpm. Also running rich with Lt's at 2.34 so that is keeping me from having kr the richness. All this = no power. When I was doing testing yesterday with my predator I just got I was going wot thru all of 1st and second gear and half way thru third and was barely pulling away from other cars that were just crusing along. Gonna get some 100 octane today.

If you have LTFTs that are positive, you aren't
running rich - your natural calibration is lean
(in closed loop) and you are correcting it up.
Whether that correction that suffices for part
throttle, is enough or not for WOT, when you throw
in power enrichment etc., is a wild guess. Go by
O2 voltages until you get something better (like
wideband, or repeated track-based optimization).
Hit 900mV across the RPM band and your KR will
almost certainly go away. With the Predator, you
only have the PE to work with, but this should
be enough for a stock car with stock MAF. Take
O2 readings, tweak, read, tweak... if you have
some kind of quantitative performance measurement
for feedback, this would eventually let you pick
the best spark & PE combo. A dyno w/ wideband
will consume less of your time and more of your
cash, depending on how much you have of each you
can pick your approach.

i had the same problem and my tuning was fine actually. but its all set now and my timing is 30* at WOT, 900 on the o2s, fuel trims are at 0% and no KR if you need any help pm me cause i have been dealing with this for the last 4 months and now im finally set, i can help save ya some time. o yea having a friend in the car will help a lot too lol

THROW IT IN THE GARBAGE! well not really I would datalog the RPM and maf value gms/sec of where the knock occured from and take about .7 deg of timing out at that place and that place only. See with the predator you do not have the cells like edit does and it makes it much more difficult. I hope you have a GOOd datalogger like EFI live where you can scroll through the points of data and pinpoint the exact location of the knock, wouldnt want to pull timing from a spot that it didnt ping @. gms/secX15/ rpm is the formula.
