Default Is it worth it to tune my car on 100 octane??

I'm shooting for around 12-14psi with my setup...

9:1 compression 6.0L Iron Block .40" 372c.i.

ATI D-1SC procharger with an 8 rib pulley setup.....running a 7.85" crank pulley and I have two 3.3" blower pulleys and a 3.6" blower pulley, going to run one of the two 3.3's....

I was originally going to have it tuned to run on 93 octane, but what kind of gains will I see tuning it on 100 octane? I know there can be more timing added, anything else?

more gains...yes...more problems if you run normal gas in it...yes.

smarter and safer to tune at 93.....
unless you have ls1edit and an auto tap...then you could tune for both.... and just reflash for the track...

There is 100 octane avaible all the time where I live at a certain gas station.....I'm just wondering what kind of power gains there will be....I don't have A-tap, but the shop that would tune my car uses LS1edit, so it would be setup with a pretty stout tune....

Are you always going to be running 93 octane? if not tune with 93, then go with 100. You have to crawl before you walk. Yes there are gains to be had especially where timing has been reduced to avoid spk knock. You should have a flash with about 3deg adv on the 100oct tune, you will certainly pick up part thottle and WOT power. Have fun!!

I always thought that you needed more octane for more boost. If your car will run on 93 pushing 14lbs then stick with that. If you have access to 100 octane why dont you go with 20lbs of boost?
