Looks repairable but make sure they check out the rear suspension thorougly first. If your insurance company wants to total it and you want to negoatiate to keep the car just make sure you don't end up with a salvage title, it really drives down the value of the car even after the repairs are made properly.

Man that sucks. Not to make you feel bad but I have seen other trans am with similar damage and the insurance company totales them. If they do total it buy it back from the insurance company and fix it up even with a salvaged title you can still drive the car just makes it hard as hell to sell.

I had a 94 with almost the same damage done to me. The only difference is the brakelights were taken out too. Well, insurance totaled it. Not trying to be negative, but chances aren't good that the insurance company will want to pay for the damages on this. And like posted earlier, if it's totalled then dont get the salvage title. I ended up using mine for parts and selling it for a good chunk of change too.

It's gotta be worth more than you owe right? If its totaled, take the check (whats left after pay off...), buy the car back, part it out, then take that money get another loan and use the extra cash for mods.

What's funny about when mine was totalled is that we both had the same insurance company. Also, take an engineering economics class. I'm sure one of the million depreciation formulas we do in there can be used. If I had my book with me I'd find a good one for you to use.

it sucks cause motor was strong! transmission was firm and tight, rearend was redone do to bending an axle a few months ago.. Why is it so expensive? is it because the underbody underneath the quarter panel is smashed? Car still drives sound.. would hate to see it totaled.. if i bought it back for cheap, I may just build a LSx car. I may have some SLP Bilstiens for sale new in box

The car was not totaled they said only 3400 in damage and car will be in the shop for at least 14 days! Dont understand that math! May also have them paint the rear bumper the CETA look with a semi gloss

well they are getting a "used" wheel I believe. Not thrilled and the guy I took it too didnt seem to like the idea of ordering all used parts either. I wouldnt mind some Fikse wheels but doubt thats going to happen lol. An update on the work. I decided to take it the a GM dealership since I have had some electrical issues with the car that can get fixed while its in there. I know some people will debate on if thats a good idea or not but Im pretty comfortable to where I took it. I have take my car to mainstream or mom/pop shops in the past and both have given me mixed feelings with the body work. Also The rear bumper will be getting the CETA mod as well, going to go with a semi gloss black . So Im pretty happy as long as everything is done right.

i can say this, that i would not let the insurance company buy me a used rim. id demand a new one. if you take it to the GM Dealership to have the body work done, they should be getting a new one anways. of course im not in your situation, but you could get a nice set of rims from oewheels for like 650$. which is the price of a brand new speedline
