[QUOTE=banshe5;17593674] IIRC ALL 1993 trans am's had the high rise spoiler. every one i've seen except for one had it and that one was a prototype that also had a different dash top in it (the break between the dash and dash pad followed the curve in front of the steering wheel further out twords the dashboard instead of running straight across)
the way i remember it
1993 all trans ams had uplevel spoiler (93 was short year as well)
94 you had the trans am with the firebird spoiler and the 1994 only Trans Am GT with the upper level spoiler
1995-96 or 97 the trans am spoiler RPO T43 was a $400 option (mine had it listed as T43 on my build sheet) basically they dropped the GT name and made it's options individual options on the trans am
1997 or 98-02 rear spoiler becomes standard on trans am.
You sure that's a 93? The raised up spoiler didn't hit till 1994 and then it was an option. All 93s came with that low spoiler.
That's not true about the 93 Trans Am's. The high rise spoiler was available in 1993. I don't know why GM ever offered the Trans Am with the low rise spoiler. It looks fine on the Formula and base models but out of place on the Trans Am with the ground effects. A Trans Am GT had the uplevel spoiler where a "base" Trans Am had the low spoiler. I've even seen some stock 95 Trans Am's with the low level spoiler but I've never seen where that was even an option in 1995.

Don't mean to hijack, but this guy has a gosh darn sweet widebody, since we're talking widebodies.

With that said, I have seen this Euro-Trans Am on google images and youtube, and I must say, I LIKE IT! I have mixed feelings about the rear flared fenders unless they are subtle enough to look like they were factory designed. I love the classic "muscle car" look with wide rear tires and skinny front tires, and I want to transfer that look tastefully to my Trans Am, and likely using centerline auto drag wheels. Of course, I am looking for a darker color to paint her in, something tasteful as well.

I also LOVE the built in splitter blended with the factory front bumper cover. I have always been irritated by it seeming like it needed a filler in the center, then I stumble upon this Euro-Trans Am! It is definitely something more to add to the wish list.

SweeTbone that book was damn wrong
I had a forest green Trans Am that was a 93 and it had the GT high-rise spoiler the other thing that made the 93 different than any other 4th gen was I bought a Hypertech thermomaster chip for my Car I had to have a160 degree thermostat installed but the unique thing was the chip was a piggyback that you had to go out under the hood to get to the box and plug it in and plug the Factory chip on to the Hypertech chip or vice versa but that was the only year that you could do that 94 and newer have the plug-in play under the dash my car had a 700r transmission and I think they went to 4l60e after that year also

I'm guessing the OP is long gone, but I'm another one wondering what size wheels/tires those are. If you're out there or if someone knows, speak up!
I'm guessing, based on the sidewall and availability of sizes for that style "wagon wheel" that those are 15's. I know that 15's will clear the rear brakes (the rear disks are smaller than the rear disks on a 3rd gen), but I'm not sure that they'll clear the front. The under-construction pics clearly have 15" wagon wheels on the back and 16" firebird wheels on the front. I doubt they're 16's because there just aren't that many big sizes available in 16's, and there appears to be too much sidewall for 17's or bigger.
Ok, I did some "pixle peeping" like some of the photography guys call it, and found that counting roughly the pixels from bead seat to bead seat dividing it out and counting the pixels in the tire height if the back wheels are 15's the the tire height is 27-28", if that's a 16" wheel that's a 30-31" tall tire, which it for sure is not. The fronts are most likely a 15 just based on the back being a 15 and it doesn't look different in the pics. Doing the same math it looks to be slightly shorter than 25.5", which makes sense with available wide 15" sizes. If it's a 16 it's just under 26.5" tall, which is possible but on the tall side.
So that said, I'm guessing that the back is a 15x10 with 295/50-15 on it, maybe a 15x8 or 15x8.5 with a 275/60-15. The fronts if they're 15's I'm betting they're 245/50-15 or maybe 265/60-15 (I don't think I've seen those around since the 90's, but who knows I believe they were used on some Lambos back in the day so they may be available in Europe). If they're 16's then they're either 255/50-16 or 245/60-16 (another oddball size that was mostly available in thing like road race slicks).
Based on the construction pic and the rear view I'm 90% certain that that is a 295/50-15. The front I don't have as strong a feeling about. The sidewalls don't look as short as 245/50-15's tend to look, 265/50-15 are too uncommon and 275/50-15 are out there but they're too tall for what you see in the pics. Maybe 255/50-16, they look about right from some angles and they're common tires, but there is no angle that says to me, "hey, those are 16's..."
