There's a reason you don't see many BPM Firebirds, that's the rarest color built, only 466 total in '98, 214 in '97. Can't tell if your car is a V6 or Formula, but FWIW, there were 293 '98 Firebird (V6) coupes built w/ 88U Bright Purple Metallic, 27 Formula coupes. The rarest BPM 'birds were the 2 WS6 'verts, 1 w/ M6, the other A4. Your car looks very clean. More details please!

Its a 3.8L. 82,000 miles. Like new paint. It was garage kept for a while before I got it. Only modifications are the sound system and the Flowmaster exhaust.

Hate to correct you, but as far as 98-02 models are concerned, Bright Green Metallic only had 136 in total.

I don't know the numbers from the LT1 models, but I've only ever seen ONE BGM 93-97 Firebird ( including internet pics )

Photos are a little blurry but I can certainly see the color. Looks nice! I certainly have not seen many and I can't imagine how few are left on the road. You may own one of just 100-200 in existence once you start factoring in the attrition rate.

No WS6 was every made in the BGM color from the factory. To the OP; your Bright Purple Metallic color was exceedingly rare and offered in 1997 and 1998 only.

I like it, but I am looking for a black 02 Ws6. The BPM is nice and all but at 20 I hate worrying about scratching it so its always looking like new and has to be in perfect condition. I want a TA I can burn the tires off in and not worry about the paint getting marks on it. XD

My brother had a 97 trans am that color. I seen that it was introduced mid year in 97. I tried to get it but he wound up making a deal with someone else for it. I got a picture of it on here
