Default 2001 ws6 taillight leaking water inside

i buy my 2001 ws6 with only 30.000 miles on it from florida. when the car arrived here in kuwait i was surprised that the right taillight have almost full of water.i removed the light and dry it out then i close the upper side with black selicone.the problem is the light look darker than the left one,the water destroyed the honey comb style of the light plus make it more darker.any way to fix this or i have to pay almost $500 for new pair tail headlights?
is this a common problem in our cars ?
also this effect the clearing of the pulps at night wich show more darker than the left side.
see pictures pls

Common problem.

Two solutions

1-new tail lights
2-I never have done, but been told to heat tail lights in oven and split red honeycomb from the back part into two pieces. Re-paint the silver reflective part back on and glue/silicone back together.

Yes, this is a common thing.

The only successful tutorial I've seen to fix the honeycomb lamps is posted on another website. There are some threads on this site that link to it, but you can also find it by doing a web search for "93 Trans Am tail lamp rehab"

Dude...real simple fix. Take out the headlight, and drill holes in the bottom of the headlight (on the black plastic part) so the water just flows out. I used to have this problem a lot, but once I did that. I've never had another broken tail light bulb in almost a year. Its better than spending 500 bucks on taillights thats for sure.

^ this will alleviate the issue of water standing in the light but not help it being darker from the reflective plating corroding.
