i just had one put on, and i actually think that it is a quiet exhaust. I have had borla on my 98 camaro, and it was good until i put headers on it. its great on the highway, not loud but if you get on the gas you can hear it. one of the best bangs for the buck. but if you don't want to go wild with your car i would say save up and get the borla or corsa.
look up ls1sounds in the search button and you can listen to some of the clips.

well i'll try to put the exhaust on on tuesday, but some ******* hit my car today so it will be going in for a new door, fender, and some paint some time this week hopefully. This is the worst spring break ever........... Will post pics if I actualy do the work, or at least tell you how hard it is.

Should the stock U clamps be replaced with band clamps? Also, since it is not being welded together, could high-temp liquid gasket be used to help seal any leaks between the pipes?

I just installed my hooker on stock headers and I love it so far. I am planning on adding headers soon. I don't have soundclips/pics yet. You can find some pics at ls1sounds.com Here are some pics taken from ls1sounds.com

Just put mine on today with the help of two of my buddies. We started it with no exhaust and it was mean sounding! After a lot of struggleing to get the stock crap off we got the hooker on. I had to cut about an inch off of both ends of each exhaust pipe in order to center the tips and get them to not stick out too far. Definatly need a sawzall for this job. Sounds good, but is quieter than expected. Overall I am satisfied.
