i got a 79 i jsut want someone to be able to help me with mine that knows what there doing b.c theres some heater probulmns with lines


if you could get me a pituer of a engine of a firebird with a 403 v-8 i need to kno where the heater core hoses go and what it looks like

both 79 models we have are 400 4-speed cars. We do have a 78 with the 403 Olds motor, and I'll try to shoot some shots of that one. PM me an e-mail and I'll get them done soon.

On the poncho powered birds one hose goes to the rear of the passenger side cylinder head on a nipple. The other hose goes to the timing chain cover by the water pump on passenger side as well.
I would assume the olds motor is similiar.
Now if you mean where the hoses go on the car.. thats sort of easy and hard.
The hoses go up under the passenger side fenderwell into the heater core. The heater core is up under the dash on the passenger side. However the nipples fit through the firewall into the engine bay area. But they are difficult to access because of the inner fender well.
It is a PITA to get to. Good luck
