Default GM Recall/Awareness Letter '02 Cars
Just got a letter in the mail from the General. I can probably scan it and post it up if anyone is interested.

Says 2002 cars may experience premature Catalytic Converter failure. Basically if you've got issues now, bring it in for a free fix. GMs warranty on cats is 10 years. So that's what this recall is good for.

Anyone else get the letter yet?

Yeah, been out a while now. Covers 00-02 F cars. Originally covered for 8yrs/80K under the Federal Emissions Warranty - GM just extended theirs to 10/120.

yeah i got one too let's hope i never have this problem. although if my car came with the slp LM will this effect me?

got mine. funny how i just found out about it on the forum last weekend.
then it shows up in the mail a couple days later. just put it away for the season.
