codes are on the decal that should be on the end of the driver's door when you open it.

WS6 = WS6 (better hope that one is there! If not, it is a fake)

Silver isn't that rare. Paint code 13U

If the car is a six-speed, it has a 3.42 gear in it. All of them do. If it is an automatic, it most likely has the 3.23 gear in it.

3.42 = GU6
3.23 = GU5
2.73 = GU2

All WS6s w/ auto had the 3.23 as an extra cost "mandatory option". If not a WS6, then 2.73s were standard and 3.23s were a cost option.

All WS6 autos came with 3.23s, and M6's came with 3.42s. On an A4 car, you had to get the GU5 options (3.23s, aluminum driveshaft, Z-rated tires) to get WS6.

HP ratings on LS1 f-bods were 305, 320 for SS/WS6 ('98-'00). All of them got a 5HP bump in '01-'02 (310/325). SS w/ "special" SLP exhausts and Firehawks got higher ratings, depends on the year and exhaust package.

Flowmaster probably reduces the power over the stock muffler

GU2 = steel driveshaft
GU5 = aluminum driveshaft

If the car is a WS6, it's aluminum.
