I agree it looks too much like a Grand Am ram air hood. I think it should look like the 1972 GTO hood. Since the LS1 takes air from the front of the car (unlike a carb car) this style could be functional and keep the purists happy. While they're at it, take the front end of a 1970 GTO and "modernize" it to fit the newer aerodynamic car. This would look killer.

Yeah, meaning it would kill the car - like the new T-bird and beetle. I don't want a 'cute' throwback car.

Hey BLKTA, I agree I like the tought of the 72 style hood on the new car. It would give the car a mean look and still keep it subtle to match the car. IMO the front end does look like a modern 70
