Default beating a long dead horse

How much moisture/rain gets to the filter? Should the local touchless laser wash be avoided?

You'll have no problem. I have a duct constructed from the front kidney grills to the intake and have no issues. The design limits water that can get up and into the TB anyways but even if a drop or two did make it water does not harm engines at all short of hydrolock. Water injection is used to cool the charge as an alternative to methanol injection especially on aircraft. Remember too that water is a significant byproduct of combustion.
