Default Second time at the track w/ the GTO. New mods

First time out was stock and ran a not so great 13.5 at 103 (I have an a4) with high 2.0 60' at about a 1800 DA (suspension played a part)

The DA Sunday here was about +2070, so wasn't expecting much. Now, I have added PS LT's, ported intake/TB, Vararam, Borla muffler's, X-pipe, Formato street trune, and Pedder's 0 drop rear.

First run: Very easy launch, and got a little sideways on 1-2 shift with 29 PSI in 245 Nitto 555's.
60: 2.029
1/8th: 8.349 at 88.29
1/4: 12.820 at 110.43

Dropped the PSI down to 25 for the second and last run. Rolled into it, but went WOT right after I started moving. And the shift hooked great.
60: 1.988
1/8th: 8.264 at 88.55
1/4: 12.726 at 110.76

12.7 was my goal. I should have stayed to try for a 12.6 in a crappy day (86 degree's and 70-76% humidity), but it was too hot. Can't wait for better tires and Winter. Times correct down to a 12.42 at 113 at a O DA

Good times....."corrected" doesn't mean **** though LOL

Get some tires though. That will make a world of difference! And definitely some better conditions

Corrected has always been pretty close for me, however, I'm not too worried about the "0" DA times, we get some good negative DA days here when it's cool out.
Yeah 60' needs to come down, I need to get some better tires then the 245/45/17 Nitto 555's, although I think I can do better then I did with them

Damn I'd kill for a negative DA pass!

Yea tires are a necessity. Going from street tires to DR's I dropped 4 tenths

I'm hoping for that. It seems possible for a 1.7 60' with my mods and a great launch on DR's. Should be worth close to 3 or 4 tenths in the 1/4. That with a negative DA, I'm going to try for high 11's this Winter with a little weight removed

That is actually my plan. I'm going to get a Driveshaft here really soon, since my carrier bearing is shot. Then the stall is next. Hoping to get it all done before Winter is over

Went back out tonight. Got my 60' down to 1.94 (there's a lot left with better tires) and ran a 12.56 at 109.8. It was cooler tonight. In the heat I went 12.7 and trapped 110. I'm attributing my slower trap to having to basically try to run on 2 flat rear tires. I did still spin through the 1-2 shift and scratch through the 2-3 shift. She's got a lot more in her, but at least its a PB. In 6 hours only got 2 runs in, as the rotary cars kept blowing up all over the place.
