Default New cam

Hey guys just got a cam for my 06 gto and was wondering if you guys think these specs are good or can go bigger.
cam is 226-232 cam lift is .363 intake and .364 exhaust and the vlave lift is .617 intake and .619 exhaust. what do you guys think of these specs?

Be sure to upgrade your valvesprings and pushrods.

have dual valve springs and getting pushrods soon

new rollers????

You dont NEED new lifters. And you dont need new rockers. Depending on your mileage you might want to replace your lifters though.

im at 80,000 so im gonna get ls7 lifters. just to be on the safe side you think ill make decent power with the cam?

It should make decent power altho where that power is and if that's what you want will depend on what you're using the car for. Raw specs like that don't really tell much about driveability. There are smaller cams than that that can kick butt.

The biggest question that all of missed!!! Is your GTO a m6 OR a4?

If it is an automatic you will want to a higher rpm stall that matches the engines new higher rpm power.

The specs are right in line with many common larger cams. It is impossible to tell you more than that. Don't know the lobe design, valve events/LSA, how you drive your GTO, other mods, other future mods, etc. Selecting the RIGHT cam FOR YOUR GTO involves much more than raw duration and lift. That is like selecting your wife based only on bra size without knowing even the size of the cup.
