Dont know about hp. By you being an a4 you would benefit from the shift point and line pressure settings that the tuner will adjust. It would also get rid of torque management. If you are interested, I have a superchips flashpaq 2825 I will let go for 250.

I wouldn't waste my money on a handheld. Do it right and have it dyno tuned IMO.

I HAVE AN 04 A4 WITH A PREDATOR TUNER AND IT HELPS ALOT. THIS PAST WEEKEND I WAS ADJUSTING AT TRACK AND JUST BY TURNING TORQUE MANAGEMENT OFF I DROPPED 2 TENTHS IN 1/4 MILE. THEY HELP THE A4s MORE. I WOULD SUGGEST IT AND WHEN YOU ADD STUFF JUST GET A CUSTOM TUNE FORM CMR DEALERS.

I just got this car a few weeks ago and I have a WARRANTY and I want to keep it. The thing about a dyno tune is once they tune it a certain way that's how it'll stay until you go back. With a Handheld a few minutes and whalaa your back to stock settings.

I've "heard" they can help the A4 cars a good bit. Mainly that torque management stuff I think.

A Hypertech or similiar is a very good idea, especially since you're an A4 for shift points and the torque thing. When you would like to take it back to the dealer for whatever reason, just plug the programmer back in, set it back to stock, then head to the dealer. Doesn't void warranty at all.

Right now Diablosport has no trans tuning for the 05 or 06 GTO.So if your an A4 this hurts u for sure but they are promsing a download for the trans tuning very soon.

For a mild bolton car the predator works...
I have one and have tune my ltrims right to -1.7/+2.3 and my timing is at 25 degrees with no kr at all,I have my 160 stat in and have the fans running perfectly. My A/F recorded 12.6 under 3rd gear wot runs up to 6200 and the car blows the tires away from a 1st gear roll..

If u take the time to fine tune the predator it is a good tool.Once u go to a h/c or fi setup then u will need custom tuning, cmr dealers can tune your car and u can save it in the predator..

I will be working with Mike at Diablosport,he will be helping me tune my GTO once I add the FI setup...I just havent decided which way to go,I hope that helps your decsion and by no means am I saying custom tuning via a sponsor is not a good idea.

If u want to get a custom tune IMO there is only one guy----->SLOWHAWK from Dez Racing....IMO he's the best

Actually I have a stock '04 A4 so I got lucky there. I plan on getting the SLP Diablosport II as my first mod. After that Cai, borla catback, Kook headers and mid-pipe. I hope after these mods and the handheld to firm up the shifts and delete or reduce torque management I can run low 13's and possibly high 12's on a really good day.

Get a dyno tune and then buy HPT or EFI and change what you want to tweak the tune.
