It depends what your budget is. You can get Pacesetter LT coated with catless mids shipped for around 550 shipped. You can get some stock 243 heads from patriot for less than 400. We need more info from you to guide you grasshopper

You wanna post a link for the 243 heads? Are they complete or bare?

dosn't your car already have 243 heads (I'm pretty sure mine does)

BTW,
what do you consider "Cheep"?

I don't think much for our cars is "cheep"

ported intake manifold from Cory at LS2Portworks.com
about $1,000 will get you a good nitrous kit (or headers, or a cam installed)

you can get a good set of Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial's 275/40-17 for about $375-400 installed

but the best money spent on making your GTO "Faster" is gonna be learning how to drive
that's done by going to the track

I"m thinking spintech pipes and prolly and lq9 head swap....

NOTHING is cheap for our cars.

Pacesetters are cheap... in everyway. Though for $550 vs $1200 for Kooks or Stainless Works I guess they are worth it.

Best mods would probably be a CAI, long tubes and a tune. IMO

Do you have a LS1 or LS2? The LS1 has 28# injectors and the LS2 has 32# injectors. Either should be good for up to 450 RWHP. Just headers and a head swap shouldn't require different injectors. Are you planning a cam too?

Pacesetter ain't that bad, they're just not stainless steel. I have Kooks, they are probably on the top end.

They are not stainless, for $550 you get them coated (so not being stainless is not an issue unless the coating flakes off) with catless mids. They are not bad, they fit pretty nicely.

I'm running a Magnaflow catback. Yeah I have an auto, they are often faster at the drag strip. I replaced the tranny with a Performabuilt level 2 race transmission with auxillary cooler and 2800 RPM stall converter.
