2000 Rebuilt/Forged 347c.i. 5.7l LS1 Long block

Built by BB&T Motorsports, Southaven, Mississippi (662)280-7600
BB&T had the DRAG RADIAL MPH RECORD HOLDER ORLANDO STREET NATIONALS 7.70 @ 189.87

This motor was built by the best with the best parts. Plans were for it to be a strong all motor car that could withhold allot of spray. Reason I am selling is because I left the LS1 world and into a Mustang now. The motor doesn’t do any good to sit in my garage.

Block has been acid washed, balanced, and blueprinted. Cam was also degreed in.

• Stock 5.7l Aluminum block with 3.905 hone
• NEW! Eagle H-beam Rods 6.125
• NEW! Diamond Pistons Flat top w/ -2cc valve relief (pn- 11502)
• NEW! ARP main studs

• NEW! Patriot Stg. 2 LS6 heads (59cc chambers, 2.02 intake 1.57 exhaust, titanium valves, Gold .650” dual springs, stainless valves, bronze guides @600 304cfm & 229cfm)
• Lunati Cam (237/242 595/595 112lsa)
• Rollmaster Double Roller timing chain
• LS6 oil pump
• NEW! Comp Hi-energy lifters
• Heat treated chrome-molly push rods 7.400” (stock ls1 length)

Oops... Need Compression. Will it run on pump gas and how well will it idle?

No dyno numbers as it has never had a drop of oil in it nor been installed in a car. I can snap some pictures of it tommorow and get them hosted up.

Compression is 10.1 to 1. Of course it will run on pump gas its a street car motor. And it will idle MEAN.

Sounds like a wonderful motor. Why picture? It's going to look like an LS1, but I guess they are fun to drool over. I really wish I had the cash for this motor, it would go in my car in a second. I've been pricing things liek this, seems like a good block, and a good deal.

 

I have $$$ but enjoy the warm fuzzy of pictures and need a little more information before commiting like estimation of HP/torque. I would like to speak to the builder on Tuesday as well. I'm not a gear head, maybe this will help explain my ignorance?

really dont need the heads but if you would seperate and just keep the heads i would be intrested in the short block and cam ect I can do 3000 and I will pick up this week. send me a PM

I have known Dane in person for a few years now, and I find this VERY hard to believe. He's a great guy and I'm sure this is a really well built motor. The T/A ran really strong on the stock shortblock!!

All I know is I want to be very careful about sending a large amount of money away to someone who potentially has had a problem in the past. Using ebay as an example...Would you rather send money to someone who perhaps has 100 all positive feedback or someone with negative feedback like the potential issues that has gone on here. Trust me if everything is right I would buy the motor but I want it on terms that are fair to both of us and protects both of us.

Dane indicated to me he is out of town for the holiday and I believe this is why he has not jumped into this. Not that the issue would be solved in this forum but I am sure he would stand up for himself.
