Default CAM, SPRINGS, PUSHRODS Installed 1 Day $1499 BEST DEAL!!!

Ok heres the deal, I ordered my cam from a vendor and it didnt make it here on time, so I had to pay full retail. Anyways I'm doing the parts, and full install (AT A PROFESSIONAL SHOP NOT MINE) For $1499.

What this includes:

Comp Cam XER273 224-230 114LSA (Awesome Cam)
Comp Cams 7.4 Chrome Moly Pushrods
Patriot Dual Valve springs, retainers, locks etc (good for .650 lift)

Also you get a:

Mobil 1 5-30 Oil Change
NGK TR55 Plugs

SAME DAY. Meaning drop it off at 8am, pick it up at 5pm. This "IS" driveable home, but you should get a tune asap for full driveability.

Also, if you need a 1 Day Cam install, PM me. The shop has all of the special tools to get it done in a day, Price is $650. This is the best shop around, and I have been to them all. Very reasonable rates, top notch service, and they get the job done, I hate being strung around.

Sorry to break this to you man but the Mods will put the kabash on this because you are not a 'sponsor' paying sponsor fees. This happened not too long ago. Just wanted to warn you before the thread disappears.

LOL, Jason that is the funniest **** I've heard in a week. I think that post would be:

If you want cheap labor, and you want to pay triple, 15 mins. AFTER you drive off with it, then go to LPR.

We dont check fluids, and we provide no warranty or help after your car dies on the freeway.

Well having some tools make it easy... I noticed doing the pen magnet thing for the lifters probably isnt the best idea. Anyways its a good price with all the parts, oil change, and plugs. Again Same Day Service.

Seems high to me, just being honest... LS1's are a pretty easy cam swap... yes I've done plenty myself. Springs are the only PITA (f@ck pin magnets, use dowels in the oil galleys to hold the lifters up).

You say drop it off at 8:00am, pick it up at 5:00pm. SO, they start on it at 9:00am (after it's cooled off) and should have it done by 4:00pm (tell you 5:00pm to be safe). Factor in a half hour lunch and that's 6.5 hours for a cam install, which is pretty dead on the money.

Only thing is you're paying $100 an hour in labor (at the $650 you quoted)... It's not NECCESSARILY high, I'd pay an experienced shop that to make sure my car was done right, but it's not a steal either...

Yeah the shop has special rods, that go in, basically same concept.

SO yeah about $100 hr labor, but you figure its a "REAL" shop, with multiple lifts, all the right tools, experience, and same day service. You also have to realize that there are shops around here charging $850-$1200 for just a cam and spring install. Trust me I've called most of them.

Seems that you have the know how to get the cam swap done with ease. Do you have a shop or are you just an individual?

If your brave doing your own cam swap LS1's have a cool feature. If you spin the cam sproket before removing it to pull the cam all the lifters will lift and there are little o rings that catch them ( when you spin it the first time you can feel the lifters down, as you spin it more you will feel them catching ). Sounds scarey but I have done 2 in my buddies Z and one in mine and it worked all three times. The last cam install on his for the torqure 2 we had done in a little more than 2 1/2 hours.

Friend I worked with had a shop in Florida, just an individual out here.

Out here I built Tardy007 and KWIKWS6's LT1's, installed the direct port on LORDHELP's 2001 SS car and done MANY other LS1 and LT1 setups (just cam, cam/heads, nitrous, etc...)...
