The box shows it as a scan only V1 ($250 new). Did you upgrade it to a scan and tune? Also, if you did, it shouldn't have used any licenses to tune a 98, they are unlimited free with efilive. A screen shot of the licence page in the tune tool would be help full in determining what exactly you have for sale.

 

I bought this as a scan tool back in July of '05, upgraded it to scan and tune personal in Dec. of '05. The 1997/98 PCM's were not unlocked yet by EFI live why I said it still has one left on license on it.

I didn't feel the need to send it back for unlimited licenses, as I was only tuning my car. At the same time, I had NO idea that you could have unlimited licenses for the 97/98... I've had so many friends that wanted me to tune their car but they didn't want to pay $99 for the license. It's the original and that's why it says 0-25 VIN limit.

Here's a picture of the EFI Live licenses as you requested. I don't know why it says there's none used, but says one is available? Anyone care to explain that?

 

So with the one license left can I tune a 97 vette pcm or do I have to send it in and pay 99 more dollars? I ask because you said at the time 97/98 pcm weren't unlocked. Thanks.
