Default The difference that HID's made on my 95 Z28...

I recently bought some HID's for my 95 Z28 in my sig off of ebay. My particular kit came with the HID bulbs (5000k color/temp), the ballasts, and new housings (stock looking) to put the bulbs through.

Here are some before and after pics for those wondering what the difference is.

All pictures were left in their original raw form (no photoshopping done), and pictures were taken in the exact same spots before and after at the same time of night (not any different lighting other than from the car).

(SORRY FOR THE LARGE PICS)

Before (factory Halogens)

After (HID's)

Before

After (minus the empty bags of conrete mix I cleaned up)

After

Just look on ebay, and you'll find lots of different ones for sale. Mine cost $225 after shipping, and included the headlight housings (most just include the HID lights, ballasts, and then you have to use your factory housings).

If you can't find any you are sure about, I'll PM you the info.

I'm interested in this too. I want to set all my cars up so I can actually see out of them at night.

Thanks for the pics! Looks like it made a big difference. I've been looking into these as well. Our stock lighting is a joke. I'm probably going to go with something from LEDgauges.

They'll hate you. I get flashed almost everytime. It's bright as a **** though and I love it. Can't stand being blind at night. I adjusted mine to the point where they're all the way down and I still get an occassional flash. They're that bright.

I bought LEDguages setup and it's great. Night and day difference. Cool too once you turn them on they flicker then they get into "I'm blinded people tonight mode".

By they way. They look good Ben!

These are obviously much brighter than the stock Halogens, and without going with the round Hella projectors, HID's in the stock or stock style housings will not be able to be aimed, so they can be very bright to oncoming traffic.

I think I got lucky on mine though, as I haven't been flashed by oncoming traffic yet, and they seem like they are pointed low enough were it won't be an issue for me.

That is my current driveway. It was horrible before, and I spent WAY too much money and time into it. Although the end result is nice, after dropping what I did into it, it has pushed back my plans for the Formula in my sig a solid Month.

Yeah, its a lot better.

The light quality from the stock halogens is really poor. HID's are a great way of seeing much better at night. Besides the fact I really just like having a whiter light come out of the car instead of Halogen yellow.

Thanks Silas. LEDgauges.com is probably the best place to get them. Nathan is the guy who runs it, and is a sponser on this site. His kits are of the highest quality, and even though I went with someone else off of ebay, I would still reccomend Nathans kits above anyone else. They are a little pricey though. $350 from LEDgauges.com
