Unknown. They're in pretty good shape though. All the sealing surfaces are in great shape, no burnt oil, etc...

Give 'em a little refresh and they look ready to go!

will these heads fit an ls1? and the valley cover do you have pics of the top of it?

Yes. The 243 is the head casting used on the LS6's.

ok cause i heard something that a ls2 head wouldn't fit on the ls1's... cause of the bore

No, it's actually going to up your compression a bit over a 241, from 10.1:1 to 10.5:1 (66.67cc 241 casting vs. 64.43cc 243 casting).

In my opinion, this is the best stock for stock head swap out there for an LS1 as far as the castings go. You could do a 5.3 liter swap (I have a set of those too), but I think this is a better option because the 5.3 liter heads have smaller valves.

Obviously, if you find a set of 243's with the sodium filled valves, that's a great thing, but they're PRICEY.

Also, if you're going to port a Gen III head, this is the head to do it with in my opinion.
