Default More junk in the 9s. 67 chevelle, nitrous LQ4, 9.82/136

Final track day of the season was 11/2. Made a few changes to the car that had previously been a best of 10.34 @ 131 and picked up a bunch, 9.82 @ 136.

It's a mystery mile 2000 LQ4, stock crank, rods (with Katech bolts), and pistons (with total seal AP stainless rings). Heads are hand ported 806 perimeter heads that only go around 290cfm @ .600. Cam is old old TSP 231/237 @ 050, .598/.595, 112LSA installed at 109ICL. Victor Jr with 1000cfm 4150 TB, NOS big shot plate that I spray dry, Holley Dominator EFI. 1-3/4" pacesetters into 3" exhaust with x-pipe and Hooker Aerochambers. 8" Chance converter, foot brake th350, 3.89 geared 9", 275/60 drag radials, 67 Chevelle 3530#, driven to and from track.

11.84 @ 113 on the motor (converter is all wrong for N/A)
10.39 @ 129 on .073 jet
10.16 @ 132 on .082 jet
9.82 @ 136 on .091 jet

You should post up the story about how you went home, had an idea then came back. It is a great story to finish out the race season. And congrats on great results putting the big jet to that JY motor.

Haha, my wife still gives me a little grief about leaving again. I'm pretty glad she let me go!

It's a 9" housing that has the ears raised 15/16" (typical in 9" chevelle housings to gain upper control arm clearance to the 3rd member). With the lower control arms in the stock holes it's been 1.44 and 1.45 60', I put UMI lower relocators on it and went to the first/top (least aggressive) hole, and made all my November 2nd passes with this 1.40 60' being the best. It's on 275/60 drag radials on 9-3/8" wide rims. Strange shocks, UMI control arms, and an ebay universal weld-in ARB.

This off season I've changed to an under axle 1-3/8" bolt in ARB so that I can put tail pipes back on the car, put a trans brake in it, updated fuel system, all new front a-arms and front brakes, and working on rewiring the car right now.. Hope to be back on the road in a few weeks and thoroughly vetted before drag week in September.
