Default Ethyl goes 9's

Last Sunday we put down a 9.29 @ 154 on the track at Ennis Texas. Car is a twin turbo 430 Ci LSx. We are running it on E85 and putting power to the ground through an FTi TH400 and 9" Ford IRS. That was literally our forst day shaking the car down and only the 4th pass we've made so more to come. Just to be fair, my tuner James Karger was driving.

By way of the description, the car is documented under Whipple build in the FI section. Current setup is 430 Ci LSx with ETP 245 heads, Edlebrock Vic Jr. Intake and custom twin turbo hot and cold side. Turbos started life as Precision 6266s but Reed Partridge completely redid them, they are 6266 but now are Work Turbocharger versions. The driveline includes a custom converter by Mike's Trickshift in Azle Texas, a stage VI FTi TH400 rebuild by Nate at Sullivan Motorsports, and 9" Ford IRS kit from GForce1320 including 300mm axles and a Strange S-Trac Diff. . We feed her E85 through a full return system. running a -10 an fuel line to the Edlebrock high flow fuel rails and into 221 lbs ID/Bosch 2000 injectors. We are using an Aeromotive Eliminator fuel pump with an Aeromotive Boost Referenced regulator and Electronic fuel controller. We've augmented that with a Boost a pump that is activated through the boost reference. We are using an MSD two step and a Boost Leash II Controller with Co2 activator.

Thanks, I love your GNX BTW. Car weighs 4090 with driver. Currently we are running a 2.48 1.48, 1.00 TH400 with the Ford IRS and 3.50 gears out back. That is on 28 inch x 10.5 tires. We are doing some suspension revisions. We were at 7400 rpm through the traps so I am going to drop the rear gears to 3.25 to see what we can do. You can see from the vid we are not even launching on boost, it doesn't kick in until about a second in the run. Car has a lot left in it. We only were able to get 18 psi to play.

Does the car not have a transbrake? If you could work out that sixty foot, the car would go 8's for sure.

Yessir the car has an excellent transbrake. I am running a stage VI TH400 from FTi. Track prep those first two days was not great. You can see on the 9 second pass he just rolled into it. Everything else blew the tires off. We are working on the suspension right now.
