Keith Black Pistons-- Compression?
Okay, i helped my buddy take the old heads off his 383. He got a sweet deal on sum 23 degree Trick Flows 64 cc chamber to replace the old Torker heads. Anyway the guy told him when he bought the motor (complete) that they were Keith Black domed pistons. I am not a genius when it comes to pistons but they dont look domed at all!! They actually look dished to me. Here are pics. Can any of you guys tell me what (approx) compression with his 64 cc heads that this might run? Thanks for any info!!!

I know that most 2 valve relief flat tops with 64cc heads come out to around 9.7:1
If I had to guess I'd say that engine and 64cc heads might go down to 8.5 or 8.0
You need to cc the pistons and heads if you plan to build this into something. It's very important in selecting a cam.
Or slap it together and run it.

Cool at that compression how much boost is safe with a forged bottom end? gonna be on the street 90% on the time. Prolly gonna go procharger (again). Hopefully they can send the right pulley this time! LOL!
