I think it'll need more stall, whats the purpose for the car, and is the cam hydraulic or solid roller? That's similar to a cam in my buddies car it revved to about 6,500 and went 11.5's at 3,000 ft elevation.

Love the afr 210's I had those on my 65 nova 377 sbc, went low 10's on motor, awesome heads.

the cam looks nice! and everyone always says that everything always needs a bigger stall but alot of guys dont understand when someone wants to drive a car on the street more than the track they dont want a 3,500-4,500 stall for cruising around cause its sucks and you will be spinning alot higher rpms than if you had a 2,200-2,800..... yeah it wont leave as hard or do as well at the track but it will be more streetable and save you alot of gas! i really recomend a more mild converter for a non lockup street car, but if you have a drag car throw a yank 3,800 and a tranny brake in that bitch!

It'll work with that stall, just won't be as fast as with a higher stall, but when you increase power the converter will tend to stall a little higher, if you're lucky with the new setup you'll get a few hundred rpm of stall out of it.

You say 383 what length rod are you using?

Whats the main use, driver, weekend, race?

It's all relative to what you plan to do with it, one of my SBC street cars I drive often is 12.5:1 and has a .670"/.645" 262*/272*. To me thats fairly mild and very streetable, HOWEVER I have a very warped sense of what streetable is as I have run some very wild and crazy combos on the street for years. But I dont mind changing valve springs and lashing valves, thats a choice only you can make.....

BTW I think that cam will work killer for you, and should make a ton O grunt...........

This was my 383 with 236/242 @.050, 110 LSA with .520/.540 lift, yours having a 114 LSA will idle harder than this i believe.

I cant remember the rod length i will have to look into it. Its going in a 69 camaro and will be just for fun type of car but i want it to have decent street maners aswell.

We put a similar cam in my friends 357 windsor in a 80's mustang but is was a solid roller 236/242 600/600 112 lsa. It went 11.5's 1.55 60ft at 3,000 ft elevation, pump gas on motor.

That's a really good street cam. Love the 3rd gen built my cousin one for his 16th bday, love those body styles.

BTW, my cheap 383 was done with 5.7 rods, the one in the vid. The one in progress is built with 6 inch rods.
