BAN3: What a nice little package this is!

Building off of the BAN2, the BAN3 takes everything several steps further. The interior is fitted with a 6-point roll bar, optional 5-point racing harnesses and a rear seat storage area, while the body receives competition driving lights and special badging.

Engine options are either a 496ci all aluminum Pontiac 455, or LS-based engine, both rated at 700hp, backed by a 5-speed manual trans only, coupled to the engine through a hydraulic clutch. Out back is a 12-bolt axle with 3.73 gears hung from a four link suspension with track bar. Coil over shocks are found at all four corners, with 6-piston calipers and 14-inch rotors up front. Rolling stock is likewise competition-inspired; 18x10 wheels with 285/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sports up front, while huge 19x12 rears fitted with 345/35/19 Michelin Pilot Sports.

When will they re-create smokey and the bandit the movie? They've done dukes of hazard, why not smokey and the bandit? You reckon that's what these cars are for? You know how warner bros. bought up all the chargers they could for the movie.

If it is priced like the other Year One special edition and Foose cars, probably $80K-100K price range. I could find a 78-79 and built it myself for less. Cool idea though, I've thought of building a pro-touring Bandit car for a few years now.

Damn. My first F-body was a '77 S.E. T/A. Was a little beater-fied but it was still badass. I'd rather see Year One just restore the S.E.'s and sell them.

I saw it this weekend at the Year-One show. It's okay because you don't see too many of these anymore,But like Nineball said, you could build one alot cheaper.Whoever buffed it had buff marks all over it.
