Default Alpine PDX4.100 and Type R speakers

Will it be ok to hook up an Alpine PDX4.100 with 4 type r speakers? The speakers are 100 watt rms and the amplifier is a 4 channel x 100 watt rms each. Every different website says something different about how to power speakers, some say a little more power and some say not to do that.

you never want to run your speakers with full capacity, always go 80% and it wont matter how strong the amp is because you dont need to turn it up past halfway unless you have 5V or higher preamp output on your radio or you'll fudge up your voicecoils and put too much strain on your amp...by the way thats a bad *** amp! I have a 5-channel alpine powering my car now

never run your speaker with full capacity... WHAT???

IMO you are better to have more power then less, you are more likely to blow a speaker with too little power because you will push it into clipping by trying to over drive your amp

either way OP has a good combo
