Autometer fuel press gauge lamp flickering

Autometer fuel press gauge lamp flickering Hi,
I recently upgraded the bulb in my car's Autometer fuel pressure gauge from the original incandescent bulb to an led bulb. It was the Autometer brand led replacement specified for that gauge. After a week of so of driving, the brightness of the bulb changes from max brightness to barely visible and back on its own. Checked all my connections and they seem solid. Is there something more to this? Like maybe with using the led instead of the incandescent and different loads or something? Thanks for any suggestions.
