...and how can I check?

its a '93 TA, all available options at the time. At some point, the original owner had some cheap aftermarket 'Carbine' alarm installed and proceeded to lose one of the remotes. I'd like to install or activate the factory keyless entry if possible and have extra remotes handy in case I lock myself out (I'm notorious)

Check for option code AU0 on the door label. Also, you can check for the keyless receiver in a little pocket behind the passenger's side kick panel.
