harlan shift light wont work!?!?
I installed a harlan shift light on my 97 ss and its not lighting up when the rpm's hit the shift light activation rpm. I know the shift light works cause when I turn the car on it lights up so I know power is okay. I have the tach wire to the blue connector/white wire in the passenger kick panel as per shoeboxs page. If I go in and check its set for an 8cyl and the activation is set for 6600 rpm. My car revs to about 7000 rpm and I've hit the limiter and no light came on?

I had to set mine to 4 cylinders (for an LS1) - I'm not sure if this would be the same for an LT1, but it might be worth a try.
Do yourself a favor and set the activation RPM something low like 4000-5000 RPMs to test it. Once you can verify it works, then set it to the moon and don't look back.

Sorry to bump this, but didn't want to start a new thread.
I got my shift light installed and set but it seems to come on around 5500 to 5700 or so when I set it at 6k. My shift point is 6400, redline is supposed to be 6600. Should I set it at 6600 if it does it lower or ??
