Underdrive pulley + XXXX watts = problems?
I installed a 1000 Watt RMS JL Mono class D with two 12's in my 02 M6 Camaro. The voltage gauge stays over 13 volts with A/C on, headlights on (no dimming) and stereo blasting. I don’t know if this has any influence but the amp gain is only at 50%. Since I will be replacing the belts I want to install an under drive pulley. From searches I read that if you have an aftermarket stereo the UD pulley is not recommended. My question is around how many watts total will one experience problems and does the gain level or efficiency of an amplifier accommodate the addition of an UD pulley?

had an 02 z28 with a 25% UD pully and 2 12 kicker L5s with a kicker zx1500 and i had no issues with voltage and i had not done the Big 3.
In my firebird, I had 2 type r 10s and 2 alpine pdx 1.600's with a 25% UD pulley 1.5farad cap and no Big 3 and had all kinds of voltage issues.
Dont know if its because i had 2 amps and it was just way less effecient even tho the power output was comparable to the kicker setup.
