Default Kee CDT Warranty

Does anyone know what the warranty is on the CDT sub's purchased from Kee Audio? I got the level 2 package for Christmas and just installed them within the last 3 weeks. I've driven the car 3 times since then and I hear a rattling/vibrating type noise coming from one of the sail panel units. I'm hoping it isn't the speaker itself and can be easily fixed but if it ends up being a bad speaker I'll seek a replacement under warranty so I hope it's still valid.

You would probably be better off asking Ian Kee instead of a forum. Other possibilities include checking the CDT website's warranty page (http://www.cdtaudio.com/warranty/warranty.htm) which indicates that their products all come with a one year warranty - including labor if installed by an authorized dealer.

Ian has a reputation for going above and beyond in customer service so you should have no problem with a warranty claim at this point even with the installation delay (you're still well within the 1-year limit).

I would first look for an issue such as unevenly tightened screws or the speaker being in contact with something but it is certainly possible that there is a problem with the speaker itself such as a damaged cone or voice coil.

I don't know about the warranty - but I posted a thread a while back about some foam matting you can get for under $1.00 at Michaels. I used this to cut out round "gaskets" for the back side of my speakers. It works perfectly. The only bad part is you have to go to Michaels...

I think they sound great. I wasn't looking for a max output system obviously, the fit the bill perfectly
