Default has anyone had this problem with their headlights? (not motor related)

i turned my headlights on the other morning and the high beam light in the dash was on. it was fairly bright outside so i drove to work w/o them on. i got to work turned the lights back on, still says high beams on, checked the front of the car and the lights weren't even on! they had flipped up but weren't on. i discovered one of the wires to the passenger side had come loos, and i plugged it back in. now turning the lights on caused both the high and low beams to come on. if i turned the high beams on, the driver side headlight would not come on. also, my driver side rear brake light is not working. anybody have any information about this for me? i've already made an appt. with the dealer for this. if i can avoid a reaming i'd really like to do so. thanks.
