Default Gauge Cluster Won't Light Up

I checked the fuse's and they were all good. I haven't checked the light bulbs because I find it hard to believe all of the bulbs would blow at once. Any idea what it could be???

Thanks!

Do the lights behind your radio and HVAC panel have the same issue?

...moving to the electronics section.

Just checked.. No the HVAC panel does not light up either. It's just weird cause they were working fine until I changed out my console. Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks and sorry about putting this in the wrong section.

75% of the time, folks just have the dimmer control by the headlight switch in the off position.

Check your fuses again, particularly the IP DIMMER and TAIL LPS fuses. Never rely on a visual inspection... fuses (especially old fuses) can be blown but appear normal. Always use a fuse tester or multimeter to test or replace with a known good fuse.

I had to ask. There are threads that go on for days and the dimmer is just off.

I'd definitely switch out the fuses as Whitebird suggests. If that doesn't work, the next thing would be to check/test the wiring at the headlight switch/dimmer module.

Sorry for the late reply been really busy here lately. I checked my fuses with a multimeter and everything was good even the TAIL LPS fuse.

Yeah the fuses were good and haven't had a chance to check the wiring yet. Another thing that happens is my radio (aftermarket) works when it wants to. It acts as if it's dead won't do anything at all but then I get in somedays and it's on. Is is possible that something could be going wrong with the fuse panel itself?

The clue here is "they were working fine until I changed out my console". It would seem that something was broken/disconnected/shorted during the console change. I'd pull the console and go through the steps again checking for maybe a ground wire that didn't get reconnected or some similar small item that can make a big difference.

The radio problem is unlikely to be related since it doesn't share any circuitry with the dash lights. It could very well be the infamous BCM bad solder problem. Do a search for "BCM fix" to get more information.
