Default 4th gen TA HID Conversion kit, what are you guys using?

I've searched the threads and can't really get a popular kit...

I really need to upgrade my headlights because the low visibility really takes a lot of fun out of night time driving.

I don't really want to spend $500 on a kit with projectors, but I definitely need a big upgrade over stock

Also would want to do the fogs too at the same time.

Any ideas for a reputable website/kit?

If you want a quality kit expect to pay some money. The crap you get on ebay will be worse than your stock ones. If you're going to do HID's do them right. BLS makes a good kit and you can buy all the stuff they use and make your own kit. Just need the brackets. Those pop up on ebay and here from time to time.

If you don't want to buy projectors and are just wanting HIDs your are going to have to do two things. One you need to buy LMC truck housings to replace your sealed beams. Use those for awhile first and see if you think you still need HIDs. The output is amazing compared to stock. It's around $120 for all 4 lights. As far as HID brands, I would go with ddmtuning if you are just getting the HIDs. That's what I have in mine since I had extras lying around. Hi/Lo and fogs. HIDs in the fogs is brighter than most low beams. Since the foglights are set so far back the light is very well contained vertically and doesn't blind people.

"LMC" not "LCM"

Also, please avoid putting HID in Halogen Reflector housings. It will glare.

I highly recommend going the LMC housing route. They work much better than stock, are quality, and look like they belong on the car.

You can get the brackets, low beam projectors and cheap HID kit to throw together a working system but it looks pretty unfinished. The LMC housings with HIDs will produce some glare. The BLS kit is the only product I'm aware of offering a finished kit and it uses a bixenon projector. You can buy their kit without the ballasts and harness if you are looking to save a few bucks.
