need help jl 6w0 replacments of stock subs?
I am getting the 6w0 subs to replace my stock subs because one of them is blown. I would like someone who has put these in to tell me how to wire them in. I looked in the stickeys...thats how I found which sub to get, but I cant seem to find how to wire these specific speakers in. Please help asap

oh yeah, I just found that the 6w0 will not work with out an enclosure???? Is this true? Would I need to make a box, or will they work for a while like a year or two before they blow?

Found this in another post, is this true??? and will it work?
You can run a non-infinite baffle speaker in the sail panels if you get foam speaker baffles to install behind the speaker.
Crutchfield sells them.

Well I am not really looking for alot of bass. I just want a more clear sound than stock. What would be a good sub with similar or better sound quality that I could replace the stock ones with. I know about the rockford 6.5 but it is discontinuted, what else is there that will work.

Well, If I were you, I would just put a single 8" in the hatch, along with an outboard amplifier. Most amps can accept a speaker-level input, so just tap off one of the back speakers, and run it to the amp for a signal. a small 100-150 watt amplifier and an 8" shouldn't cost you more than $300-$350 if you do some shopping. Ebay is your friend.
