FM modulator Hookup
I am currently hooking up a FM modulator to the stock Monsoon headunit. I am planning on using it to run the RCA cables down to a mini adapter and into my Pocket PC. I need to run a hot and a ground. The two adapters in the back of the unit (CD Changer and standard headunit adapter) have many colored wires.
Which wire is the switched hot and which wire is a ground?
Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks guys.

The AUX input requires that you do not have a stock CD changer (correct me if I am wrong). I need to have acess to the CD changer as well as the aux input. Thanks for the help, and please clarify if I am on the wrong path.

I'm not sure.
The GM9-AUX does have a pass-through to allow the retention of the CD-Changer, but since I dont have a CD-Changer, I cant confirm that that feature works.
Pressing the CD/Play button on the Monsoon headunit should swap between the in-headunit CD, CD-Changer, and AUX device. This is how others have described it, but you need a 2001+ headunit.
If you are interested, I bought mine at www.myradiostore.com.

The X3GM9 might work for you too:

It is kinda like the GM9-AUX, but with a built-in switch box to add (and swap between) 3 RCA AUX devices. It requires the CD-Changer to be connected to work though.
Also, I have no experience with it and know no more about it than listing on the description on that site.

On the Firebird, its the "CD/Play" button.
I dont have the factory CD-Changer though, so I cant confirm that part.
For me, pressing "CD/Play" swaps between the CD Player in th headunit and my XM receiver.

There are some more differences over the years too.
