Default Keyless Entry (Have it or not)

I just bought a 2000 Z28, it didn't come with a key fob for keyless entry. It has an alarm on it and it works. You can open the door but you must turn the key to ACC position with approx. 30sec or else the alarm will go off, till you turn to ACC. Does this sound normal? I wasn't aware that you could get a newer GM car without keyless entry. Does this sound like I have keyless?

That sounds exactly like one of the settings for the alarm that my TA has. In order to have that on a TA, you have to have keyless entry.

I uploaded the applicable section of my owner's manual to my website since you and at least one other person had the similar questions recently. I'm 99% sure that it's the same setup for the Camaro as it is the Firebird, so this should be what you're looking for. Hope this helps.
