Default Sub on stock amplified system

I just picked up a 12" MTX 400 sub from a friend of mine that he gave to me. I was wondering if for the time being I would be able to hook this up to the stock Monsoon system? Any feedback on this and how it can be done would be appreciated, because for now that is about all I can afford to do with it.

It is possible to hook it up to your stock amp, but I don’t think you will like the way its going to sound. The monsoon amp has no were near enough power required to power that sub. I would recommend waiting till you can get a decent amp. If you still really want to try it with your Monsoon, you will need a HI/LOW adaptor.

It is easier to blow a sub with not enough wattage than to much.
