Default Steering wheel controls after aftermarket H/U install?

As the title says, I want to install a Pioneer DEH-7700MP H/U in my Firebird and I know the steering wheel controls wont work afterwards. Any solutions to this? Take them out and put block off plates or just leave them in? I dont mind them being there but if there is a cheap way to get them working with the pioneer headunit I just bought, that would be great.

Thanks

... and when you figure out that you're looking for a PAC-SWI-X adapter... know that you can get them for about $60-80 off the vendors... or about $50 of eBay.

... and your stereo has to have a ir remote.

"PAC-SWI-X adapter" is what I used. Works, somewhat decently priced to keep everything functional, and pretty easy to install if you can figure where you want to cut a small hole for the IR LED.
