Default Viper 791VX help

so had it installed, works great... very nice all around... went to the pub and my friend was looking at the fob, he tossed it across the table to me and I tried to catch it left handed and managed to knock it into the pitcher of beer.. I let it dry and put a new battery in it, it powers on but doesn't communicate with the car now... what do I do now?

Have you tried to re-program it? Try that first, if not you may have to buy a new one.

If you don't have the reprogram info, let me know, I can send you a pdf

take it into best buy (or wherever you bought the alarm) and tell them the remote stopped working. they should fix it.

no, best buy will not fix it. If it is out of the 30 day from purchase, it will have to be sent to DEI

the pdf posted was the correct one, most likely the fob is trashed

If u bought it and had it installed at Best buy, they have to troubleshoot it for free, and DEI covers their product for lifetime as logn as u own the car.

wrong!!!!! they will warranty the LABOR at best buy, and replace the parts up to 30 days. After 30 days you will have to send it to DEI along with you recipet from an authorized dealer. Again, best buy will remove it for you. but once they open the fob and see there is water damage, they will send it back to you broken on your dime.
