Default Ipod connection on 200-2002 Camaro- Trans Am

Did the stock CD player in a 2000-2002 Camaro or Trans Am come from the factory with an IPod connection?
Thank You,Billy

Were Ipod's even out then?

No Ipod connection but someone make a kit to disconnect the factory 12 disc and use the Ipod instead.

Honestly to tell you the truth, with the hassle your going through to get the adapter for the ipod, I'd be easier to just buy a aftermarket headunit with the adapter already.

There are adapters from PAC, PIE, USA Spec, and a couple of other companies. Some are just auxiliary input adapters and some have iPod specific features such as charging the battery and/or track control from the head unit. A search in this forum for "ipod" should get you lots of comparison information.

There was a thread not too long ago where someone showed exactly how to add the connection. Search is your friend
