Need a 12v ignition wire
Need a 12v ignition wire Okay so i need to find a convenient 12v ignition wire to tape into to turn on my amps, i have a carpc installed and the yellow ignition wire from the radio is powering it so i need to find another one to use, anyone know of an easy wire to splice into?

Your best bet is to use one of the three accessory ports in the fuse panel. They are 15 amp circuits designed by GM for adding electrical accessories. One is BATT (constant power), one is IGN (ignition controlled power), and the other is ACCY (RAP controlled power like the radio and windows).

So just add a wire and run it thru the firewall, thanks i will give a look.

No need to run it through the firewall unless you're putting your amps in the engine compartment - the fuse panel is on the left end of the dash.

It's fairly easy. You'll find a bolt holding the fuse panel in place on the dash. Remove the bolt so you can move the fuse panel enough to be able to get your wire from under the dash (behind the panel) around the edge to the front. Put a spade (flat) connector on the end of your wire and plug it into the accessory port you want to use. Then just put the bolt back in to reattach the fuse panel.
