Can you do a search?
There are adapters from several manufacturers that allow you to connect an iPod (or any auxiliary device such as satellite radio) to the CD changer port on the back of the factory head unit. A quick search on "ipod" should get you plenty of information.

Yes I hhave done searches but have come back with a little confusion. When I punch in my year/make/model of car and select the "monsoon" option in order to obtain the correct adapter (adapter which connects onto the back of HU in the slot for the ch/changer) to hook up my ipod...I get a WARNING msg stating that "head unit must have AUX or SOUCE button in order for this ipod module to work!!!??? So now i'm lost, since mine does not. So is this module for my HU or not! This issue has been making me sick lol.

It depends on what you want. There are iPod specific adapters such as the USA Spec one that have extra features like track control from the head unit/steering wheel and charging the iPod battery.
Then there are auxiliary input adapters that provide only direct connection to the head unit without the extra features. You have to control the iPod using its own controls and they don't charge the battery but they are about half the price. The PIE GM9-AUX is the most popular of these adapters.

Thread back from the dead...woot!
I have a 2000 Formula with the SINGLE CD player and was going to order the USA-SPEC PA11-GM45
Anyone using this model with the SINGLE CD setup?
Just want to be sure before ordering - confusing information out there as to whether you need the changer or not.
Thanks!
James

Please read the Monsoon FAQ sticky at the top of the section.
Auxiliary adapters from USA SPEC, PIE, PAC and others are compatible with all 4th generation f-bodies that have a cassette head unit. They are also compatible with model year 2000 and newer f-bodies that have a CD head unit. It does not matter whether or not you have the optional external CD changer but if you do, it will have to be disconnected.
That wasn't so confusing was it?

Just do this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...t-adapter.html
Burn a silent CD to play in the background and you are good to go. I did it and it works great. Fun little project.
