Funny story, I own one of these:

and when we put it on the scale with two people in it, it weighed less than one of these:

And no, I'm not kidding.

OP, was he starting in 1st gear each time? I don't doubt the outcome whatsoever vs. a stocker. Especially since 40mph is WAY HIGH for 1st gear and a dead spot for 2nd.

So what!

Also weighs less than some Ferraris and MBs too! Which would you rather have? I know, the Ferrari or MB. Me too.

That was exactly what I was wondering. I just bought my wife an SRT-8 charger yesterday and I noticed that at 40 it will not drop down to 1st gear and is pretty much a dog......... it pulls strong from 20 mph.

I'm going to run the Charger against my Trans Am when I get a chance. To be honest, I think that from a high speed roll the charger will probably stay pretty close to my pontiac.

By the way, we first test drove a G8 GT (6.0L) and found that the charger felt noticable quicker and also had a smoother ride as well.

To the OP: Good kill, I would have put my money on you (if he was stock)...... I would like to see your WS6 against Deuuuce's Charger.

That is an interesting observation regarding the smoother ride. The Charger is the most stiff of the LXs (including the Challenger) and rides on 20s. I would be curious to know how the GXP felt.

The LS2/LS6 CTS-V was supposedly stiffest of all.

An intake/exhaust/tuned G8 will edge out a stock SRT-8. Go I/E/T with the 6.1 and it swings the other way, of course.

Haven't seen data yet on modded GXPs. Anyone else?
