Default my SS encounters

i have a 98 z28 ls1 m6
dyno'd at 355/395 with just ram air hood, slp lid, catback flowmaster exhaust.

anyways, i raced a a4 ls1 ss(year unknown)
he kept evading me on the road and finally we got next to eachother and ran from 40roll.. i was in 2nd at the third honk i got a jump on him and as i shifted into 3rd and ran through the rpms he pulled on hard. i hit 4th and we slowed down and i was like WTF dam ss'
so we raced again, 50 roll and he raped me..... rape.... i went home and cried , no but seriously im kind of confused on how he beat me so bad, he said it was a completely bone stock ss.

Maybe he wasn't telling the truth.

A lid and flowmaster netted you 355/395.. still with the LS1 intake.. untuned? That seems high. It's been said the flowmaster is no better than the stock catback.

Regardless, either he sprayed you or you need the driver mod.

He might have been stalled/geared. Hell, a 4000 stall...if he bought it used and didn't know about it...would do work.

Its because he was driving an auto car

J/k man but in all serious it sounds like he was spraying.

Of course he could have had a converter too and full boltons.

i still think OP's numbers are outrageous especially for only having the LS1 intake and not the LS6 at least.

im not too sure who dynod your car. but i wouldnt go around on the street saying those numbers. i have bolt ons and dont even make that much power. with those mods, you will be lucky to have 325Whp... and 395 tq? no way... but you may have been misinformed by whoever dynod it. BUT, if it was a stock SS, and all you have is slp lid, yes he will walk you. he has a better stock exhaust then you even with your flowmaster, plus he has ls6 intake. and if he held it in gear to eliminate downshift, it would be worse. id go get your money back from whoever dynod your car tho. its just like my buddy, had a 2000 z28 with the exact same mods as me... except i have the ls6 intake and i have an m6 and he has an auto. i would walk him all day long. that ls6 intake is gods gift to the ws6/ss cars!

To pull hard on you I think he would need some boltons IMO. And yeah your numbers are very high; I did less torque than you with H/C, LS6, full exhaust, M6, tuned, U/D pulleys, 85mm MAF. Was a mustang dyno though.

thank you guys.
i'm thinking some sort of correction factor was wrong on that dyno.

i have the dyno sheet with me, its a bit worn but, the guy i bought the car from had it. He went to UTI in texas and the sheet has 3 runs. first was 311.7/332.3 second was 310.2/331.6 and third was 355.5/395.1

ill take a picture and load it on here so you guys can see, but honestly i asked him what was done to the car.

plain and simple, slp aftermarket ram air hood, lid and cat back flowmasters. its an m6 and seems totally stock.

lca and rear suspension but thats all ; /

ya id say that dyno was a little off-LOL you dont get a 60ft lbs of torque increase on one pull without some serious tuning or nitrous

i'd lean towards those other 2 runs being alot closer to your actual HP
