my buddy an I in his '66 Chevy II....

We were going 52mph (gps lol) and this guy was itching to go around us on a back road...
When the road straightened he made his attempt...
pulling out and getting to about the back bumper of the II. My buddy slid the 'glide back into 1 and hit it softly but hard... It stuck pretty well (we stayed in our lane haha) and IMMEDIATELY put this poor guy into a situation where he was ALL BY HIMSELF....

Maybe he'll chime in... I think the car was silver (It's hard to look back wearing a harness) and we were on Daryl road in NW IL Sat. about 11AM.

Oh...

The II has mini tubs, a 4.56, 5500 stall 'glide and a 400sbc with 12:1 running on E85. It also has a .700 lift roller and goes pretty well (might be in the 9's who knows...)

I know usually the LSX cars beat up on the old skool junk but this is a well sorted race car (he's had it at least 15 years) with plates...

The GTO turned left off Daryl just before we got to the intersection of Daryl+120 We were headed north...

Sorry to say but the GTO did just what we were hoping for....
I think we all had fun.

Oh yeah... the II is on Pep Boys tires!

Where I come from racing is about two cars being next to each other and starting at the same time. So thats a dick move as stated. It may be a 9 sec car, means its at best a 10 sec car. At least in my experience when someone is talking about another person's car.

im on both sides... hilarious to see a GTO get shut down like that... NOT hilarious when it happens to you with traffic coming too fast.. almost died the first time on my bike like that cus my friend in his V6 mustang was being a douche.

it's all good.... i had an "honorable" death in my goat vs a '69(i think) dart,,, roll cage, HUGE slix on the street one night recently... he said after he was a 10 sec car.... still fun as hell for us both......

I disagree with the "dick move."

If they were trying to pass or not, either way the car was no longer in the GTO's way. Now if he kept it up and kept slowing down and never let him pass, THAT's a dick move.

This sounds just like a little fun.

And I wouldn't call it a race either. Just fun.
